What Does an Asphalt Paving Company in New Orleans Do?
At TurnKey Asphalt, we install, pave, repair, replace, seal coat and maintain asphalt surfaces across the New Orleans metro, for residential driveways and for commercial lots and roadways alike. Every job starts with a consultation and a site assessment, then a written proposal covering specifications, materials, cost estimates and a timeline, and you see all of it before anything is agreed.
We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured. That is our own published wording and it is the only credential claim we make anywhere. We publish no founding year, no team size and no license number, so you will not find any of the three stated on this page.
- Where we work
- New Orleans, Louisiana, and 14 areas across seven parishes around it.
- What we run
- Six services: installation, paving, repair, replacing, seal coating and maintenance.
- Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Credentials
- Fully licensed, bonded, and insured.
- Estimates
- Free, and preceded by a site assessment rather than quoted over the phone.
The six service names, the credentials line, the hours and the estimate process are all our own, read from our own services menu and About page, 2026-09-07. Area and parish counts are the live page list, checked the same day.
Which Asphalt Services Do We Run in New Orleans?
Six of them, and each one answers for itself on a page of its own rather than being described here in a line.
Installation
Where nothing is there yetBare ground to finished surface. The base is built and compacted first, and how well that is done decides more about the next twenty years than the mix laid over the top of it.
See installation
Maintenance
The only one you book earlyCrack filling and routine upkeep on a surface that has not failed. It is the one service on this list you call about before anything is wrong, and it is what keeps the other five further away.
See maintenance
Paving
The mat itselfDriveways, parking lots and roadways, with the mix matched to the traffic the surface actually carries. This is also the page that sets out the sourced cost, service life and sealcoat figures in full.
See paving
Repair
While the failure is still localPotholes, splits and patches that have let go, dealt with in place. The moment water gets past them and reaches the base underneath, a repair stops being a repair and turns into a repave.
See repair
Replacing
When an overlay is no longer honestThe old surface comes out and is hauled off, then the area is repaved. Sourced at $8 to $15 per square foot, and the source puts the whole step up from an overlay on the demolition and removal.
See replacing
Seal Coating Paving
Protection, not structureA coat over a surface that is still structurally sound, on the two to five year interval the sources give. It will not rescue a failing base, and it does not go on a mat that is only weeks old.
See seal coatingReplacement cost: HomeAdvisor national cost index. Sealcoat interval: Asphalt Institute engineering FAQ and the Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association technical brief. All read 2026-09-04. Cost figures are national estimates for planning, not a quote.
What Can You Count On Before You Book?
Four things, and all four are our own published wording rather than a promise written for this page.
- Licensed, bonded, insuredThe only credential claim we make. We publish no license number, so none is stated here.
- A free estimateA consultation and a site assessment first, then a written proposal you see in full.
- Residential and commercialThe same six services on a driveway and on a lot. The mix and the depth change, not who you deal with.
- Mon to Fri, 8 to 5Working out of New Orleans, Louisiana, across 14 areas in seven parishes.
Every line on this plate is our own, read from our own About page and the rest of our site, 2026-09-07. No guarantee, award, certification or years in business figure is claimed, because we publish none.
Who Do We Pave For Around New Orleans?
Three groups, and the surface is what separates them rather than the size of the job.
Homeowners with a driveway
The surface most people ask us about first. It is also the one the sourced figures cover in the most detail, which is why the cost section further down is written around a driveway rather than around a lot.
Commercial property with a lot
Parking lots carry a different load and a different traffic pattern, so the mix and the depth are matched to that. Access and scheduling usually decide more about how the work runs than the paving itself does.
Private roads and roadways
The third surface our paving service covers. Same six services, same site assessment first, and the same written proposal covering specifications, materials, cost estimates and a timeline.
The three surfaces are our own, read from our own paving page, 2026-09-07, which names driveways, parking lots and roadways. Nothing about volume, job size or customer numbers is stated, because we publish none of it.
How Does an Asphalt Surface Actually Fail?
In an order. Where your surface sits in that order is what decides which of the six services it needs.
The surface opens up
Fine cracking and a dulled surface, with the structure underneath still sound. The Asphalt Institute is direct about the timing here: sealing should be done as soon as any of these distresses are noted, on the two to five year interval the same source gives.
Seal coatingWater gets past it
Cracks widen and open a route to the base. This is the last stage at which the failure is still local, and dealing with it in place is still dealing with it. Once the base is wet, a repair stops being a repair.
Asphalt repairThe base gives
Deep potholes and areas that have let go. HomeAdvisor puts the honest test on the driveway itself: resurfacing is the smartest move when it is under 15 years old and free of deep potholes, which is exactly the condition this stage has left behind.
Asphalt replacingSealcoat interval and the timing line: Asphalt Institute engineering FAQ. Resurfacing test: HomeAdvisor. Both read 2026-09-04.
What Happens After You Ask for an Estimate?
A site assessment, then a written proposal, then the work. You approve the middle one before the third one starts.
01
Consultation and Project Assessment
Schedule a consultation to discuss your asphalt project requirements and goals. Our team of experts will conduct a thorough assessment of the site to gather necessary information.
02
Planning and Proposal
Based on the assessment, we'll create a detailed plan outlining the recommended asphalt services. Our proposal will include project specifications, materials, cost estimates, and timeline.
03
Execution and Quality Assurance
Upon approval, our experienced crew will begin the asphalt construction or repair process. We'll utilize industry-leading techniques, advanced equipment, and top-quality materials.
The three steps are our own, read from our own About page, 2026-09-07. Placement temperature is thickness and mix dependent and is set by specification: Colorado DOT 2023 Standard Specifications Section 401 and Tennessee DOT Supplemental Specifications 400SS, both read 2026-09-04. The two specifications do not agree with each other, and neither is a Louisiana specification, so no single minimum temperature is stated here.
What Decides the Cost of an Asphalt Driveway?
Five things, and the first one moves the number further than the other four put together.
How much of what is there gets to stay
An overlay is sourced at $3 to $7 per square foot, a new driveway at $7 to $13, and replacing an existing one at $8 to $15. The source puts the whole step up from an overlay to a replacement on demolition and removal.
Area
Every figure above is per square foot, so area multiplies whichever band you land in. It is the reason two driveways on the same street can be priced differently for the same work.
What the surface has to carry
A driveway and a commercial lot are not asked to do the same job, so the mix and the depth are matched to the traffic the surface actually carries rather than to a standard build.
The base underneath
What is under the mat is settled before the mat goes down. If the base has failed, an overlay is covering a problem rather than solving one, and the honest answer moves up a band.
Access and scheduling
How the equipment reaches the surface, and what has to stop while it does, is priced in. Placement temperature is set by specification and depends on lift thickness and mix type, so the season affects the schedule as well.
Those are national planning ranges, not a New Orleans figure and not a quote. Your own number comes from a site visit, and the estimate for it is free. Ask for one.
All three cost bands: HomeAdvisor national cost index, read 2026-09-04. Placement temperature: Colorado DOT Section 401 and Tennessee DOT 400SS, read the same day. No regional cost index for the Gulf South was found, so none is quoted.
What Does the Work Look Like Up Close?
Three photographs from our own library. Close range, because that is where you can see whether the work was done properly.
All three photographs are files from our own WordPress media library, ids recorded in the redesign package on 2026-09-04. No date, location or job is claimed for any of them, because none is recorded against the files.

The credentials line, the six services, the estimate process and the area counts are all our own, read from our own About page and the live page list, 2026-09-07.
Which Areas Around New Orleans Do We Cover?
Grouped by parish rather than alphabetically, because the parish line is what actually changes what a driveway needs before it can go in.
Orleans Parish
Our baseNew Orleans is where we are based and it is where the rest of this list radiates out from. It is the one area here without an area page of its own yet, so the link goes to the estimate form, which is a real destination, rather than to a page that does not exist.
Jefferson Parish
5 areasThe largest group, and the only parish on this page whose own code we have read and quoted. A permit from the director of the department of public works is required before a driveway abutting your property is removed, curbed or installed. The Metairie page sets that out in full.
St. Tammany Parish
4 areasThe second largest group. No St. Tammany requirement is quoted anywhere on our pages, and none is implied here either. The Jefferson Parish permit rule governs Jefferson Parish, and copying it across a parish line is exactly the error this page is built to avoid.
More parishes
4 areasThese parishes have a single area with a page of its own. They are grouped here rather than given a near empty column each, because a card saying the same one thing over and over is padding that makes a list harder to read, not easier. The parish is named on every row.
Every area link above resolves to a live page on this site, checked 2026-09-07, and the one exception is marked as an exception on its own row. The Jefferson Parish permit requirement is set out in full on the Metairie page and is quoted from the Jefferson Parish Code of Ordinances, Chapter 29, Article VI, Sec. 29-166(a), read 2026-09-04. No requirement is stated for any parish whose code we have not read.
What Do Our Customers Say About the Work?
Their words, not ours, and carried exactly as they were written. There is no star row and no rating on this page, because we publish no verified count.

Read the postWhat Do People Ask Before Booking Asphalt Work?
Eight questions, answered first and explained second, with the source on every figure.
How much does a new asphalt driveway cost?
A new asphalt driveway runs $7 to $13 per square foot including labor and materials, and replacing an existing one runs $8 to $15. Those are national figures from HomeAdvisor, read on 2026-09-04, for planning rather than a quote. Your own number comes from a site visit.
How long should an asphalt driveway last?
Two sources we trust disagree, so both are recorded rather than averaged. The Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association puts a well designed driveway at up to 20 years. HomeAdvisor puts a properly installed driveway over a solid base at 25 to 30 years. Both read 2026-09-04.
How often does asphalt need sealcoating?
Every two to five years is the interval both the Asphalt Institute and the Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association give. HomeAdvisor narrows it by climate, every three years in a mild climate and every other year in extreme heat or cold. All read 2026-09-04.
When is resurfacing enough, and when is replacement the honest answer?
HomeAdvisor calls resurfacing the smartest move when a driveway is under 15 years old and free of deep potholes. An overlay is sourced at $3 to $7 per square foot and a replacement at $8 to $15, and the source puts that whole step up on demolition and removal.
Do you work on commercial lots as well as driveways?
Both are in scope. At TurnKey Asphalt, we run the same six services on a residential driveway and on a commercial lot. What changes between them is the mix, the depth and how the work is scheduled around access, rather than who you are dealing with.
Are you licensed and insured?
At TurnKey Asphalt, we are fully licensed, bonded, and insured. That is our own published wording and it is the only credential claim we make. We do not publish a license number, so you will not find one stated on this page or anywhere else on our site.
Which areas around New Orleans do you cover?
Fourteen areas across seven parishes, and thirteen of them have a page of their own. New Orleans is where we are based and it is the one covered area without a page yet. The list on this page is grouped by parish, because parish is what decides permitting.
How do I get an estimate?
Call (504) 576-9561 or send the form on this page. A consultation and a site assessment come first, then a plan and a proposal covering specifications, materials, cost estimates and a timeline. The estimate is free and you see all of it before you agree to anything.
